When Technology Meets Art

I love someone who can take something technological and turn it into art. No, I’m not talking about smashing up a computer and making microchip earrings (although that would be fun regardless!). I’m talking about Urban Knick Knack and her ability to laser cut amazing designs. She uses a special machine to laser cut pieces that she then adds her own special touch to in order to create adorable, chic jewelry. I picked my favorites from her IG which you should go check out after you are done looking at these adorable pieces!

Are those butterflies not the most adorable, colorful pendants ever? They very obviously show her laser cutting technique expertise and they have the cutest Spring colors and patterns. They are almost, if not more, colorful than real butterflies. They would certainly brighten up anyone's day!

And if you liked her pendants, you will love her rings. I love that she has a variety of jewelry, not just necklaces. She even has a butterfly to match your butterfly necklace!

What I think is really special about some of her pieces is that she adds her own touches. She adds paints on top of her pieces making them like little canvases and adds beads and chains like her necklace below.

How awesome are these little wave pendants? They have a nice, simple, minimalist style to them. Her use of gold really brings these pieces into the modern age and makes them a piece of jewelry that will go with just about anything!

Geometric jewelry has really become popular and these bracelets are a great example of how beautiful it can really be. I love the colors she has added and by using lights and darks she gave them a great dimension.

Which one (or ones!) is your favorite piece?
