Viking Kings Would Be Jealous

I have always enjoyed leather jewelry. Leather is a material that has so much history behind it that it makes each piece feel like its ancient which I just love. The artists behind Bird’s Eye Designs have taken that love of leather and combined it with crystals to make some spectacular looking pieces! Through the use of colors and natural elements, they have create jewelry that is as unique as the pieces they are made from. Make sure to check out their IG for more pieces from their collection.

What I really like about all these pieces is that they have chosen to have simple settings and those settings are made from leather! Wasn’t expected that where you? I really enjoy the layering of leather on the second pieces. It gives the stone more dimension as well as some thickness.

This stone looks so good I want to eat it! The peachy melon color is just so beautiful! I also like the asymmetrical design with the small swirl details on the right. It's a modern take on a beautiful handmade pieces.

Speaking of stones and things we want to eat look at this beauty! That mint color is so yummy looking! This is a great example of how the settings that Bird’s Eye Designs creates really compliment the stones rather than overshadowing them. The contrast between the black and the mint green is truly stunning.

I’m not supposed to pick favorite, but these 2 pieces are definitely my favorites from their collection, especially the bottom pendant! I just love the idea of creating a leather pendant where you can really appreciate the texture of the leather against the stones. These pendants look like something you would see a Viking king wearing. They are just so raw and regal!

They handmade the cabochons they use in each piece which adds even more handmade goodness to their pieces! I love seeing artists who take their craft seriously and bring their handmade talent to every step of their jewelry making process.
