My Spirit Animal is a Chipmunk

As an animal lover, I love finding jewelry that is inspired by the beasts of nature.  So when I found Untamed Creations I was hooked! The owner Xeque makes amazing, and I mean spectacular, images of all types of animals from polymer clay which she accents with crystals. Her pieces are inspired by totems and animal medicine.  And the back story of how she came to create these pieces is very spiritual and inspiring which you can see on her Etsy page.  The pictures below are from her Instagram page, but she has so many more on her Etsy!

The level of detail is awesome on these! Did you see all the little dots on that turtle?! From the texture of the fur to the eyes that look like there alive, she does an amazing job of bringing her creatures to life.  They look like they should have been pulled from a plastic mold, but she handmakes each and every one.

I will say that these pieces are not for the faint of heart!  They are intense not only in their style, but just their overall composition.  They are bold, not in color or size, but in the way the animals almost look into your soul (wow that’s deep). I wish I knew my spirit animal so I could get one made by her!

I think her big cat pendants are particularly special because they hold a special meaning to Xeque (read her back story, you'll find out why!).  The way she incorporated the crystals into the pendants gives them that added mystical edge.

This buffalo (I'm pretty sure it a buffalo not bison] looks so real it’s unreal. See what I did there....  I like the accents of turquoise on this piece, too.  Those combined with the feathers give it a very Native American inspired look.

These creations are more than just unique jewelry.  They are pieces that are created by someone who shares a little bit of herself in every piece. It’s very inspiring!
